How pricing works

14-day free trial included. After the trial, pay monthly — cancel any time.

xontax turns bank lines into choices you can read and change.

Less spreadsheet glue and less year-end panic, without giving up control.

What’s included

Bank-first

Connect your bank; real lines stay the starting point for every choice.

Categories with reasons

AI suggests categories with short explanations you can check.

You can change anything

Fix mistakes before they affect your figures or tax.

Receipts and documents

Keep evidence next to the choices you made.

Know what you might be missing

The AI Accountant surfaces patterns, allowances, and reliefs — with links to official sources — before the moment passes.

Year-round, not year-end panic

Visibility that runs all year. Not an accountant who appears in January, files, and disappears.

Who it’s for

Limited companies and directors

Separate company records in the app; VAT and company money where we support it, with personal tax on its own switch.

Sole traders who want control

Real bank lines first; AI suggests, you say yes or no; no mystery automation.

Landlords with ongoing transactions

Rent and costs keep landing; the app helps you stay tidy month by month.

People tired of spreadsheets

Fewer manual tabs; each change ties back to your bank feed.

People done paying for compliance without advice

Paying £1–3k a year for someone to file and stay silent? xontax replaces the reactive, compliance-only part.

Value vs alternatives

The compliance-only accountant

£1,000–£3,000/year to file and stay silent. xontax replaces the silent eleven months with year-round visibility and proactive flag-raising.

Spreadsheets

Flexible, but easy to break. xontax keeps bank truth in one place.

Older small-business software

Often built for accountants first. xontax is bank-first with plain explanations.

Trust + control reassurance

Bank-first

Your statement lines stay fixed; every change traces back.

AI explains itself

Suggestions include readable reasoning you can check.

You stay in control

Change suggestions before they affect your records. No silent filing.

Common questions

Is xontax right for me?

If you run a UK small business and want bank-first sorting with clear review steps, including limited companies, join the beta and try your own data.

How does the free trial work?

Start with a 14-day free trial with full access. After 14 days, choose your plan — sole trader from £10/month, limited company from £15/month (includes your director's tax return free). Cancel any time before the trial ends and you won't be charged.

Do I still need an accountant?

Maybe less for routine work. You stay in charge; bring help when you need it.

Can I review everything before filing?

Yes. See each suggestion and fix what is wrong before it affects your figures. When in-app HMRC sending launches, you will confirm every send.

What happens if AI gets something wrong?

Change it. Everything still ties back to your bank lines.

Does this work for MTD 2026?

Yes for Income Tax MTD from April 2026 for many sole traders and landlords, and we align with Making Tax Digital style prep for company VAT too. See the notice on this page for HMRC sending from the app.

What if I currently use spreadsheets or another tool?

Many people run both when starting out. xontax cuts repeat typing and keeps a straight line from bank to your figures.
